What material are the Large and Small Wall Murals printed on?
Our wall murals are printed on a type II 20-oz vinyl wall covering with fabric backing. The fabric backing provides weight, adds to durability and makes installation easier.
This materialis perfect for our “moveable” murals because it:

How can I see a sample of the material the Large and Small Wall Murals are printed on?

If I purchase a “Moveable” Mural, can I install it in the future as wallpaper and paste it to the wall?
Absolutely! Should you be in a temporary living situation and move to a dwelling where a more permanent installation is ideal, our Moveable wall murals can be pasted to the wall like wallpaper. Simply trim the hemmed edges and stiff hanging material from the top of your mural and paste it to your wall.
If I purchase a Wallpaper Mural, who do I get to paste the mural?
- It is recommended that you have your wallpaper hung by a professional wallpaper hanger so it is installed correctly. (See pdf file from manufacturer for some information on how our wallpaper handles)
I love the wallpaper installation with the panel moulding. Are there different kinds of panel moulding and where do I purchase it?
- Panel moulding can be purchased at a home improvement store or a place that specializes in trim.
- There are all sorts of choices available. Select moulding that compliments your trim or room décor.
How is Wall About Fun artwork created?
- Each mural (as well as unique wall adhesive) was hand painted. Each character, blade of grass and leaf was painted and then digitally put together so the final product looks hand painted and beautiful.
- You can see brushstrokes.
- Our paintings look soft, yet colorful, and very detailed.
- Our designs and layouts use the upper portion of a room in a creative way keeping your room highly functional.
Can the Moveable Murals be cleaned?
Yes. We recommend you clean your mural with a non-solvent based cleaner and a soft rag.
Why is the mural wavy?
Since the mural arrives rolled up, there may be roll lines when you first unroll your mural. These will work themselves out once hung on the wall.
To minimize curling/rollmarks, have the artwork brought into the actual environment you plan to hang it, so it can adjust to your room temperature. (Example: if you have it in an extremely hot or cold garage, and bring it indoors, where the temperature is dramatically different, let the material adjust to the new room temperature for a few hours before unrolling or hanging).
“MOVEABLE” WALL MURAL INSTALLATION QUESTIONS
What comes with the Moveable Murals? How do you hang it? How is it moveable?
The Moveable Murals come with an aluminum Zbar (1 or 2 pieces depending on size of artwork ordered) with holes already drilled in and self-anchoring screws so installation and removal are easy.
Our unique hanging system allows the mural to rest snug against a wall. It is easy to install and easy to remove.
What tools will I need to install the Moveable Murals?
For drywall installation you will need a level and a Phillips screwdriver (a Drill, 3/16" Drill Bit and Phillips Bit Driver is even better). For installation on concrete/masonry or plaster, you will need a drill, 3/16" masonry drill bit, Phillips bit driver and a level.
How do I move/remove the Moveable Murals?
- To remove one mural and replace it with another design, make sure you purchase the same size piece. Unhook the artwork and hang your new art piece in its place. Loosely roll your artwork around a tube (always with the art facing outwards, towards you) and store in its original packing tube or transport to its new place of honor in a sibling/cousin or friend's room.
- To remove the whole installed kit, follow the above steps, then simply unscrew the screws and remove the zbar.
Will the wall be damaged when I remove my Moveable Mural?
If you used the WallDog self-anchoring screws in our kit, there will only be a few tiny screw holes in your wall upon removal. If you drew your level line in pencil, it will have that on the wall as well.

What kind of material are the Unique Wall Adhesives printed on?
(3 millimeter low TAC matte adhesive vinyl) The wall adhesive is designed to adhere to the wall or smooth surface, but remove easily and leave no backing or residue on the wall.
How do I install the Unique Wall Adhesives?
- Each adhesive sheet comes with detailed and complete instructions.
- (Since our pre-cut, self-sticking art comes with transfer tape for easier installation; you will need to separate the art by cutting each piece loose from the sheet, leaving the transfer tape applied to the art. Then, tape the artwork where you think you want it placed. Once you have the layout you desire, peel off the backing, stick the art to your wall and rub the provided squeegee over the transfer-tape-covered artwork. Slowly peel off the transfer tape and presto - looks fantastic!

What is transfer tape?
Transfer tape is placed on the top of the wall adhesive sheet. It aids in positioning large and intricate designs as well as provides a protective layer so when you rub the top of the artwork to secure it to the wall, the artwork is protected.
Are the Unique Wall Adhesives repositionable?
Our wall adhesives can be repositioned.
- It is best to do most of your repositioning during installation when you haven't applied full pressure yet to keep the highest quality adhesion. If you change your mind about your art placement, slowly and evenly peel the sticky art from the wall and reposition it.
- If you keep the back clean from dust and debris the wall adhesive could be moved to another area and reused. The adhesive gets less sticky and is more likely to attract dirt the more it is moved.
- Intricate designs (like vines and rose clusters) are more difficult to reposition because when you remove them they can easily tangle. Since every leaf is cut out to create a unique artistic look, they are more delicate.
- Large designs are more difficult to move around. For larger adhesives, position the top part of the sticker to the wall and press slightly - just enough to stick the top half to the wall. Check to see if it is straight and in the position you desire. (This is where it's nice to have some one to help) If you are happy with the placement of your adhesive design, rub your hand from the top of the sticker to the bottom, till the adhesive completely sticks to the wall. Use your provided squeegee to apply pressure all over, taking extra care to secure the edges well.
Will the Wall Adhesives stick to my walls?
The finish of a wall prior to installation is crucial to achieve the best possible result when working with Adhesive Vinyl.
- Self Adhesive Vinyl requires a dust free environment to achieve a high quality bond. Dust particles settled on the walls will reduce adhesion.
- Since walls have so many variables in texture and paint surfaces, we recommend getting a sample of our adhesive material for flat painted walls, high gloss painted walls and walls with texture to ensure you are happy and have a great experience. Please see our free sample page.

How do I get a sample of your Unique Wall Adhesive to try on my wall surface?

- A small, unprinted free sample will be sent to you in a standard size envelope so you can feel confident about our artwork sticking to your walls.
Are the Wall Adhesives washable?
You can gently wipe the wall decal front clean by dampening a soft cloth with water. We do not recommend vigorously scrubbing the surface or using strong chemical cleaners. The adhesive side of the wall decal must remain dust free and dry.
Will the Unique Wall Adhesives damage the walls when removed?
Our wall adhesives are designed to adhere to a smooth wall surface, but remove easily and leave no backing or residue on the wall.
- If your paint was good to start with, removal will be easy.
What factors are important to note regarding getting the best adhesion for Unique Wall Adhesives?
- Freshly painted walls should be left to cure for the recommended time as listed on the side of your paint can before you stick anything to the surface. (In winter paint drying time increases.)
- It is important the surface is smooth, dry and free from dust or dirt.
- You must wash the entire wall surface you plan to stick the adhesives to before installation. (A water dampened or dry cloth should be sufficient.)
- (If you use dish soap or sugar soap to get rid of the grime that builds up over time in even the cleanest of households, all of the soap must be cleaned and rinsed away or instead of a dust problem, you will have a soap problem!) Make sure it walls are really dry & dust and soap free before applying your adhesives.
- Know your wall surface. Painted surfaces that have "Teflon", "silicone" or similar additives to make them "wash and wear" are designed for things not to stick to them to make them easy to clean.
- If you have "polyurethaned" the floor recently drying time is very slow (sometimes three months). Fumes that come off the floor will affect the adhesive in the stickers.
- Apply lots of pressure with the provided squeegee. If your walls have slight texture, the squeegee will only touch the top portion of your adhesive. You will need to rub the adhesive with your finger or flat side of you fingernail, rubbing extra hard so the adhesive grabs as much of the wall as possible. Get it sticking to all the grooves in your wall, taking care to rub adhesive edges extra well!
- It is best to place adhesives in a tempered environment. Avoid placing adhesives directly under the air or heat vent.
- Don't let little fingers keep removing and putting back the adhesive or it will get dirty and loose stickiness.
How large are the Unique Wall Adhesives?
The wall adhesives vary in size. They were designed to emulate actual mural sizes our artist has painted in private homes over the years. Please check individual product listings in our Online Store for detailed adhesive sizes as well as our Gallery to see photos of installed artwork in actual rooms.
Do you have other styles of wall adhesives that are not on our website?
The wall adhesives that you see in our Online Store are the only ones we carry at this time. We are always creating new artwork so join our mailing list , Twitter or Facebook Wall About Fun Page if you would like to be notified when new designs are available.

Which size ART is best for me?
- Measure the empty upper areas of your room.
- (Take into consideration if you plan on buying a large armoire, or desk with hutch or bunk beds in near future? Do you need shelves?)
- What it the largest available space?
- If you have a large area, go with a larger mural.
- If you have a small space, go with a smaller mural.
- Any size space is great for unique wall adhesives as long as your walls are smooth.
